INTRODUCTION FROM THE AUTHOR

SB-LocalAtmosphere-WarmA lot of things are synonymous with spring break---beaches, binge drinking, bad decisions, and random hookups. Panama City Beach also fits into that category. When first looking for a place to spend spring break, we narrowed it down to a place in the United States. From there, Florida became a major destination point, and Panama City Beach brought nothing but rave reviews. We had to see for ourselves. Simply put, the place lived up to its hype.

Blasting Van Halen's "Panama" while driving down Front Beach Road on our first day, we saw kids piled into the backs of pickup trucks with second-degree sunburns, permanent marker still fresh on their faces, and a look that said "I want to go back right now." From there, we knew the place was legit. Up and down the beach, from every hotel to each club and bar, this place has a vibe that you want to be a part of. According to the locals, this second-to-none atmosphere does not stay around town long, but the partying done during spring break more than makes up for the rest of the year. I hope this guide is helpful to the readers because I consider myself a seasoned Panama City spring breaker. After all, one year was not enough, so we loaded back into the car the very next year and made the trip again. And of course, Panama City did not let us down the second time around.
