Spring Breakers' Favorites
Grilling everything. Go to the grocery store, stock up on
hamburgers, steak, chicken, and veggies, and get that grill fired
up. It tastes much better cooking your own food, and it is
significantly cheaper.

Students Speak Out On . . . DINING
"If I
had to pick one restaurant that I would go back to and that has
been haunting me in my dreams, I would say Bad Miguel's. Being a
sucker for Mexican food, this hit the spot every time."
"We ate out a few times after we got sick of cooking. By far,
the best beer in town is at Mudshark."
"I just found Mudshark beer here in Tucson and almost cried.
Their beer is delicious. Their food is very average but tasy
American cuisine."
"My favorite thing was firing up the grill and eating right on
the beach. There were plenty of people who would ask to use our
grill, and we wound up being good friends with them. Nothing really
brings people closer than getting their chow on and drinking some
beers in the sun."
The College Prowler Take On . . . DINING
The best
food in Lake Havasu is at a place called Bad Miguel's. It is a
Mexican food lover's paradise because there are so many
combinations to choose from. All of the food is fresh and made on
the spot. If you're looking for the best drink, the best beer in
town by far is at Mudshark. This brewpub offers several varieties
on tap to go with your burger, pizza, or wings. You can also grab
half-gallon growlers or 5- and 15-gallon kegs to go.
Food in Lake Havasu seems a little pricey when you need three
staple meals each day, so spring breakers should definitely stop at
the grocery store and stock up on breakfast and lunch foods. For
dinners, treat yourself to a nice one out or make some new friends
by grilling up some steaks on the beach. If you're looking for
late-night food, check out Bob's Big Boy. Also, some bars continue
serving select food items until a certain hour.
The College Prowler Grade On . . . DINING

A high Dining grade implies that restaurants
are widely available and affordable and that there is a variety of
dining options. Other factors include the variety of cuisine and
the availability of alternative options (vegetarian, vegan,
kosher).
